The 2016 San Francisco Real Estate report has been released. In simple terms, things slowed or “shifted” a bit. So what does this mean?

Speaking in broad brush strokes, sellers leverage was decreased slightly in 2016. Fewer offers per transaction, longer days on market, and more price reductions ruled the day.

Buyers still needed to remain aggressive but they had slightly more leverage as local economic factors made sellers change their pricing strategies. This trend looks to continue in 2017. Please contact me for more details at 415.828.4503

Housing Statistics: San Mateo County Association of Realtors

  • We are seeing that the amount of offers per transaction is sharply lower in any cases.
  • The delta between list price and selling price is in the single digits versus double digits last year.
  • Homes are staying on the market longer than in previous years.
